Learning what is going on inside you can be difficult but it is also invigorating and the rewards are enormous. Only on thing is more frightening than speaking your truth and that is not speaking. The personal, if it is deep enough becomes universal, mythical and symbolic. One cannot expect to be conscious of God’s presence when one only has a bowing acquaintance with Him. I have never believed one chance is all we get. How can God direct our steps if we aren’t taking any? How can God use our words if we don’t express our thoughts?
